Here you will find some of my favorite authors, be they literary greats or just writers who craft a great story. This list grows regularly.

Isaac Asimov (January 2, 1920 ~ April 6, 1992)--one of the founding godfathers of modern science fiction, and the genius who gave us the Three Laws of Robotics (plus the Zeroeth Law). After reading his autobiographies, I'm not sure I'd have enjoyed hanging out and having a beer with him, but he was formative for me, nonetheless.

Maud Hart Lovelace (April 25, 1892 ~ March 11, 1980)--I discovered Lovelace's Betsy, Tacy, and Tib as an adult, but they carried me through some of my most harrowing times.

L.M. Montgomery (November 23, 1874 ~ April 24, 1942)--So many of my greatest memories I owe to this creator of the Anne of Green Gables series.

Brooklyn Crucifixion
by Bo Bartlett
Chaim Potok (February 17, 1929 ~ July 23, 2002)--The beauty of this man's works will haunt forever anyone who encounters them. The painting at left (by artist Bo Bartlett) is a reference to the duo that I consider to be his greatest achievements, My Name is Asher Lev, and its sequel, The Gift of Asher Lev.
